The Messner Mountain Museum of Corones, is located on the summit plateau of Plan de Corones (2,275 m) and is dedicated to mountaineering, of which Reinhold Messner is undoubtedly a great reference. In it you can find pieces related to alpine history and offers unique views of the great walls of the Dolomites and the Alps.

It has a modern architecture and is integrated into the mountain. It has large windows focused on the mountains and a balcony to enjoy the clean air and stunning views of the area.

If the sky is cloudy to photograph it, wait at noon if the clouds rise or dissipate as otherwise you can not appreciate this unique building and its views.

You can walk up several routes or by cableway.

The magazine Lonely Planet of the United Kingdom talks about him and illustrates some lines with a photograph that I made in August 2015.
